The MR-J2S‑40A is a digital AC servo amplifier in Mitsubishi’s MELSERVO‑J2‑Super family, designed to drive 0.4kW servo motors such as HC‑KFS43, HC‑MFS43, and HC‑UFS43 in CNC, packaging, electronics assembly, and general automation machinery. It supports both single‑phase 200–230VAC and three‑phase 200–230VAC main power, using a sine‑wave PWM current control system to deliver smooth torque, low vibration, and high‑response speed control with a speed frequency response of 550Hz or higher.
The standard “A” interface accepts high‑speed pulse train commands (up to 500kpps differential, 200kpps open collector) and ±10V analog speed/torque commands, while 17‑bit encoders (131072 pulses per motor revolution) provide high‑resolution feedback for accurate position control. Built‑in dynamic braking allows rapid deceleration without an external brake unit in many cases, and multiple control modes (position, speed, and torque) can be selected and combined to match the application. Comprehensive protections include overcurrent, regenerative overvoltage, overload (electronic thermal), motor overheat, encoder fault, regenerative fault, undervoltage, overspeed and excessive error protection.
