The 2711P-RDT7C is a replacement display module for PanelView Plus 700 and PanelView Plus 6 700 Touch operator terminals, providing the visual and touch interface while pairing with a separate logic module and, if present, a communication module. It features a 6.5-inch color active-matrix TFT LCD with 640 × 480 pixel (VGA) resolution and 18‑bit color graphics, delivering clear visualization of process graphics, alarms and status information in a compact footprint. The touchscreen uses an 8‑wire analog resistive technology rated for approximately 1 million actuations, with an actuation force of 10–110 g, suitable for gloved operation and industrial environments.
The display supports adjustable brightness and contrast via the terminal configuration environment, allowing the operator to optimize visibility under various lighting conditions. It is designed for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D; Class I, Zone 2, Group IIC; Class II, Division 2, Groups F, G; Class III and non‑hazardous locations, with a T4 temperature code and a maximum ambient operating temperature of 55 °C (131 °F) when used in a properly rated enclosure. The module includes an LED backlight, with replacement kits 2711P-RL7C (Series A/B) and 2711P-RL7C2 (Series C/D) identified for field servicing.
The 2711P-RDT7C must be used with touch-operated PanelView Plus 700 / Plus 6 700 terminals and is not compatible with keypad-only variants. It mounts as the front display section of the operator terminal, connecting mechanically and electrically to the logic module on the rear; as with all PanelView Plus hardware, power must be removed from the terminal before replacing the display for safety. Typical applications include machine‑level HMIs for packaging, material handling, OEM equipment and process skids where a small, color, touch‑enabled operator interface is required.
