Three Common Teaching Methods

Direct Teaching Method

In this way, the operator needs to directly move the robot arm to teach the robot, such as using a robot teach pendant or an operating rod.


Offline Programming Method

Offline programming does not need to use a fanuc tested teach pendant. This method is based on CAD or CAM. It uses computer graphics to establish the model of the robot and its working environment, uses a robot programming language, calculates and plans the robot's work trajectory offline through graphic operation and control, and then downloads the executable code to the robot controller to control the robot's work.

The original teach pendant can work normally only when it is in an effective state. When the professional teach pendant is invalid, inching feed, program creation and test execution cannot be carried out. The intelligent teach pendant has a three position safety switch. Move the switch to the middle position to make the portable teach pendant effective. When effective, the robot will stop when you release your hand from the safety switch or hold it hard. If the emergency stop button of the convenient teach pendant is pressed, the robot will stop working immediately regardless of the status of the effective switch of the industrial teach pendant.

Before teaching the robot, it is necessary to confirm the following inspection steps. If any problem is found, it shall be corrected immediately, and confirm that other necessary work has been completed. First, you need to check whether there is any abnormality in the movement of the robot. Secondly, you need to check the insulation of the external cable and whether the cover is damaged.
