When the fanuc spindle motor is working, the temperature of its coil will gradually rise. The heat will be transferred to the casing of the motor through metal, and then to the heat sink on the surface of the motor. If these heat is not discharged in time, the heat will accumulate inside the fanuc motor, resulting in the temperature rise inside the motor, which will eventually affect the normal operation of the motor and even lead to its damage.
In order for the cooling fan to operate, it must be powered by a fan motor. The fan motor can drive the fan blade to rotate, convert the electric energy into mechanical energy, and the mechanical energy can rotate the fan blade to generate wind.
Usually, the heat generated during motor operation can be discharged from the fanuc servo motor through wind, water or other carriers, so as to play the role of heat dissipation. Among them, the simplest way for heat dissipation of the fanuc linear motor is to use a fan. Although some motors have been equipped with blades, the wind generated by these blades is too small to play a good role in heat dissipation during high load operation of the siemens gear motor. Therefore, we also need to install a special cooling fan for the siemens linear motor to ensure its efficient and stable operation.
When the temperature sensor detects that the temperature of the siemens brushless motor surface exceeds the threshold, the fan relay will be pulled in, so that the fan circuit will be turned on through the relay. After the circuit is turned on, the motor of the fan will start, so as to drive the fan blade to rotate, generate wind and dissipate heat for the motor. When the temperature of the motor gradually drops below the threshold, the fan relay will be separated, which will disconnect the fan circuit and stop the fan.
The main function of the cooling fan is to disturb the flow of gas inside the motor, so as to exchange the air inside the siemens fan motor with the external air, so as to play the role of heat dissipation. In addition, the cooling fan can also exchange the hot air at the stator and rotor windings and iron core of the motor with the cold air at both ends of the winding, so as to dissipate heat for the winding and iron core. Depending on the speed and power, the cooling fan can be installed on one or both sides of the siemens ac servo motor. The cooling fan can also be fixed between the motor bearing and the winding end, and a certain space can be reserved to ensure air exchange.
When the siemens torque motor is controlled by frequency conversion, low-frequency operation will reduce its speed. If the cooling fan is installed on the shaft, the air output will be reduced, which is not conducive to heat dissipation. If the power of the motor is large, the load is small and the operating frequency is not very low, the heat generated by the motor will not be very high, so it is not necessary to install a cooling fan.
