Product Description

The KUKA KSD1-08 (article 00‑122‑284) is a compact servo amplifier used in KUKA KRC2 and KR C2 edition 2005 controllers to drive low‑to‑medium power robot axes with high‑precision position and speed control. It takes 2‑phase DC bus input from the KUKA power module (0–565/675VDC at approx. 3.9–4.9A) and generates a sinusoidal 3‑phase AC output of 0–400/480VAC at 4.0/3.2A with vector control, enabling smooth torque production and accurate interpolation.

Interfaces include digital encoder feedback (resolver or sine‑cosine), Interbus‑S for remote I/O, RS‑485 service port, motor temperature sensor input (PTC/KTY), and a 24V DC/2A motor holding‑brake output, allowing direct connection of KUKA and compatible third‑party servomotors. Protection functions cover over‑current, short‑circuit, over‑temperature, and DC‑bus over/undervoltage, while IP20 housing is optimized for cabinet mounting on the KUKA drive rail with shared DC bus and 24V logic supply.
