Do You Know How Circuit Boards Work?

Circuit boards are very important in our life. Many industries can see the application of circuit boards. But do you know the working principle of circuit control boards? It will be introduced in detail below.

Do You Know How Circuit Boards Work

The types of circuit boards

If the circuit board is divided according to the number of layers, it can be divided into three categories. They are single board, double-sided board and multilayer circuit board.

Single board

On the most basic PCB, the parts are concentrated on one side and the wires are concentrated on the other side. Because the wires only appear on one side, this kind of PCB is called single-sided circuit board. Single board is usually simple to make and low cost, but the disadvantage is that it can not be applied to too complex products.

Double-sided board

Double-side board is the extension of single panel. When single-layer wiring can not meet the needs of electronic products, double-sided board should be used. Both sides have copper-clad wires, and the lines between the two layers can be connected through vias to form the required network connection.

Multilayer circuit board

Multilayer circuit board refers to a printed board with more than three layers of conductive pattern layers and insulating materials between them, and the conductive patterns between them are interconnected as required. Multilayer circuit board is the product of the development of electronic information technology in the direction of high speed, multi-function, large capacity, small volume, thin and lightweight. If the circuit board is divided according to its characteristics, it is divided into FPC, PCB and FPCB.

The application of circuit boards

The board-based insulating material is used to isolate the surface copper foil conductive layer, so that the current flows in various components along the pre-designed route to complete functions such as work, amplification, attenuation, modulation, demodulation, and encoding.

On the most basic PCB, the parts are concentrated on one side, and the wires are concentrated on the other side. Because the wires only appear on one side, this kind of PCB circuit board is called a single panel. For multi-layer boards, multiple layers have wires, and there must be a proper circuit connection between the two layers. This kind of bridge between circuits is called a via. The basic design process of the circuit board can be divided into the following four steps:

1. Design of circuit schematic

2. Generate network reports.

3. Design of printed circuit board

4. Generate printed circuit board reports

The Application of Circuit Boards

Why is the circuit board green?

The green part is called resistance welding, the ingredients are resin and pigment, and the green part is green pigment. There are also various other colors, which are no different from decoration paint. The assembly solder is paste-like and flowable before it is printed on the circuit board. After it is printed on the circuit board, it must finally be "cured" so that the resin is cured and hardened by heat. The purpose of solder mask is to protect the circuit board from moisture, oxidation and dust. The only place that is not covered by the solder mask is usually the pad, which is used for soldering solder paste.
