The Lenze E82ZAFPC201 is a plug‑in PROFIBUS‑DP interface (FIF module) that fits into the AIF slot of Lenze 8200 vector and 8200 motec series drives, enabling direct connection to PROFIBUS networks for centralized control and diagnostics. It supports PROFIBUS‑DP communication according to DIN 19245 Parts 1 and 3 with automatic baud‑rate detection from 9.6kbps up to 12Mbps, allowing flexible integration into new or existing fieldbus architectures. Via up to 10 freely mappable process data words, PLCs can cyclically read/write speed setpoints, status words, and control bits, while DP‑V0/DP‑V1 services handle acyclic parameter access to all Lenze codes, simplifying commissioning and remote maintenance.
The module features DIP switches for setting the bus address, selecting compatibility with earlier Lenze PROFIBUS modules (E82ZAFPC0xx), and activating the integrated bus terminating resistor, plus LEDs to indicate 24V supply, PROFIBUS network status, and link to the base inverter. An external 24V DC supply can keep the PROFIBUS network and diagnostics active even if the drive’s mains supply fails, improving system availability. Housed in a compact coated PCB assembly (approx. 5.1 × 63.5 × 12.7cm, ~0.2kg), it is designed for industrial environments and supports star, tree, and line topologies using RS485 cabling per PROFIBUS user organization guidelines.
