It operates from 3×400–480 V AC ±10% (also supports 3×230 V AC ±10%), 50/60 Hz, with a maximum installed load of 3 kVA and starting current of 4 A at 400 V, and delivers a continuous motor current of 2.2 Aeff to support motors up to 1 kW under nominal conditions (400 V, 5 kHz switching, 40 °C, <500 m altitude).
The drive includes an integrated line filter in accordance with EN 61800‑3 Category C3, reducing conducted emissions, and an integrated braking resistor rated for 3.5 kW peak and 130 W continuous to dissipate regenerative energy during deceleration or vertical axis operation. An electronic secure restart inhibit (electronic restart interlock) is built in, enhancing safety by preventing unintended restart after power interruptions or fault conditions. The unit provides four slots for ACOPOS plug‑in modules, enabling flexible expansion with encoder interfaces (e.g., EnDat, BiSS, resolver), digital/analog I/O and even CPU modules for integrated control.
On the motor side, the 8V1022.00-2 offers one motor connection with 2.2 Aeff continuous current and 14 A peak current, plus terminals for a motor holding brake and temperature sensor, allowing direct control and monitoring of B&R servo motors. Inputs for limit switches and reference (3 inputs) and multiple 24 V digital I/O can be configured for homing and end‑of‑travel functions; inputs are optically isolated from the power electronics and rated for 24 V DC (max 30 V).
